This deceptively simple but wonderfully resonant fable tells the story of an aviator stranded in the desert and his encounter with the mysterious Little Prince who has come to earth on a long journey from his home on asteroid B-612. Through the encounter we learn about the Little Prince’s life on his small asteroid and the array of beings that he has encountered on his journey. This magical tale explores the foibles of adulthood. How we can become obsessed with trivialities, pigeonhole ourselves, and loose sight of the big picture.

As always the artists at Dancing Sky will use the rich poetic symbolism, imagery and characters of the book as a starting place for the journey of our own. Although the performance will be suitable for the whole family we do not consider it a kids show. It is really intended for adults who want to rediscover the spirit of discovery, imagination and openness that used to connect them to the world. We hope that you’ll join us for the magic.
